The Greek Era of NOMOS caliber: 2004-20xx
This is part two of three of my little set of videos on the evolution of NOMOS watch movements and focuses on the “Greek Era,” so named as the movements of this time period received Greek letter designations rather than the alphanumeric codes of the 1-Series calibers that preceded them.
.
.
Most notable however is that this era was also marked by a transition from utilizing Peseux 7001 based movements to exclusively utilizing fully “in-house movements.” During this period as well NOMOS proclaimed itself to be a “manufactory” as well. What do these terms mean? For now, you can just watch the video. I might type up my thoughts on this later, however.
