Early era 1-Series NOMOS calibers

This is a video overview of the early era of 1-Series NOMOS calibers, dating from their inception in 1991 until 2004.



I sat down to put this together some time ago, as I was disappointed with the lack of English language information found online about this era of NOMOS calibers (and by extension, watches).

Hopefully this will prove to be a useful, relatively painless look at the early era of NOMOS caliber development for few people out there interested in such things.

For reference, here is a little cheat sheet for the primary caliber designations of this era:

  • Peseux 7001: Peseux 7001 w/NOMOS branding
  • 1T: Triovis fine adjustment added
  • 1TS: Triovis + hacking seconds
  • 1TSD: Triovis + hacking seconds + date
  • 1TSP: Triovis + hacking seconds + 3/4 plate
  • 1TSDP: Triovis + hacking seconds + date + 3/4 plate
  • 1TSPG: Triovis + hacking seconds + 3/4 plate + power reserve
  • 1TSDPG: Triovis + hacking seconds + date + 3/4 plate + power reserve
