Featuring a look at the 2006 NOMOS Encyclopedia
After wrapping up the 1-Series video, I realized it was far too long and decided to trim out extraneous bits. Part of this process also saw me cut the epilogue from the original video and thus it became a video of its own.
The point of the story is that in the first video as well as the follow-up (NOMOS Movements, part 2: The Greek Era), there is a lot of information out there and it is almost inevitable that one will overlook some models, or movement variations, as there were lots of variations and documentation is not always to find. That was the inspiration for the first video – the lack of English language documentation on the early NOMOS calibers – but one can’t escape the fact that a lot of things happened during those years and no matter how thorough one attempts to be, there are always surprises to be found. Typically they are found a couple weeks after you complete and upload the information you’ve managed to collect.
With that out of the way, here’s a little post-script to the NOMOS 1-Series video, featuring a look at the 2006 NOMOS encyclopedia (and some little dogs playing in Volkspark Friedrichshain).
